My parents lived in Paris they were newlyweds, and when she returned to the US, my mom regained her love of French desserts. When we were growing up, we would make chocolate mousse and cream caramel, but our favorite has always been cream brulee.
Every time we visit my mom, she drinks an awesome dessert.
Have you ever succeeded? Recipe is cool but deceptively easy: Sprinkle sugar over the base of the cream, then caramelize it with a small propane torch. BAKELA. Children’s mind = currently blowing.
Nothing better than tapping-tapping tapping the bark!
Bonus: It also tastes good. Toby says, “My favorite was to eat it.” Torch is $ 15 / priceless.
What desserts have you been preparing lately? Are there any more tricks with grandparents?
PS We made strawberry cake a million times, i my mother’s uniform.
