Arsenal are still negotiating with Sheffield United over goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, but there is still a gap in the player ratings between the two clubs.
The Gunners have seen so far that two offers for the 23-year-old have been turned down this summer with Sky Sports News reporting last month, the club considered a third offer.
Any potential deal for Ramsdale is likely to involve significant additions, and Arsenal’s latest offer is believed to include an initial fee of £ 18 million plus allowances for which the total would be more than £ 25 million.
Ramsdale, England finished at U18 to U21, rejoined Sheffield United last summer in a £ 18.5m deal from the fallen Bournemouth.
Ramsdale was a player of the Sheffield United season despite relegation last season, and the same was the case in his last season at Bournemouth 2019/20.
He was part of the English team for Euro 2020, which reached the finals, but will only make its debut on the international stage.
Arsenal are in the market for a keeper who will provide competition to Bernd Len and if they sign a contract for Ramsdale, they will allow Alex Runarsson to leave.
