Residents are investigating damage to homes after a tornado hit south Birmingham, Alabama, in the Eagle Point community damaging multiple homes on Thursday.

A “particularly dangerous” tornado, part of a system of storms rolling through the deep South, hit a populated area south of Birmingham, Alabama, on Thursday.

There are reports, pictures i videos shows significant damage in many communities, especially in Eagle Point kvart u Hoover, Alabama. Rescues of people trapped in some of these homes are underway. Power lines and trees were knocked down throughout the area.

Governor Kay Ivey betrayed urgent declaration while meteorologists warned that more curlers were probably on the way.

“I urge all Alabama to closely monitor the weather system as it continues to affect parts of it [Alabama], especially if you’re on the storm line with the highest risk, ”Ivey wrote on Twitter.

The storm is a long way “super cell“and produced multiple tornadoes in several counties across central Alabama. It has traveled more than 100 miles so far, and the same system is still on the ground as it moves east and approaches Georgia.

Forecasters have begun to warn of a significant weather event Wednesday, and the potential outbreak received a rare major warning from the National Weather Service about “high risk”.

The tower sirens began to light up early Thursday morning, and TV meteorologists were constantly on the air for hours. This is the second time in eight days that those same areas have been threatened. More than 50 tornadoes were reported in Alabama and Mississippi last week.
