Andrade has won multiple championships during his WWE run, but it seems the Superstar isn’t happy at the company right now. Reports have emerged from Wrestling Inc. that Andrade wants to leave the WWE and have demanded his release at this week’s RAW wiretaps, on Monday, March 8th.
The former United States champion was not seen on WWE television in 2020 at all, despite reports that his real-life fiancé, multiple female champion Charlotte Flair, was getting ready to work with him on screen.
Andrade was last seen on television last fall, when he and the former manager Zelina Vega at the same time they were attacked by The Fiend and Alexa Bliss. Shortly after this, Zelina Vega was published by WWE due to changes in the rules of independent platforms. Vega has since changed the title of her social media profile to her real name, Thea Trinidad. Her incomplete clause ended last month, meaning the star is now able to continue working on other promotions.
Until his last appearance at the WWE, Andrade teamed up with Angel Garza in search of a RAW team championship, but the team imploded into construction by Draft 2020.
Andrade removed references from the WWE from his Twitter page
The star also updated the handle of his Twitter account, removing “WWE” and changing it to “@AndradeElIdolo”. His previous lunch on Twitter was “@AndradeCienWWE”. He updated his resume on his account, again removing any mention of WWE. It now reads:
Wrestler “IDOL” Gómez Palacio Durango, Mexico “
The former NXT champion’s Instagram page currently refers to WWE. However, on his Instagram page, he describes himself as:
At the time of writing, Andrade’s current status in the WWE is still unknown.
