For many fans of the classically inspired interiors of Kate and Odom Stamps, each peeks into their charming and layered home on their own popular Instagram feed provokes a multitude of joyful and wild comments. Maybe it’s because their interior is the antithesis of so much of the sameness we see now. These are really not perfect rooms, but seemingly unexplored spaces that exude comfort, personality and a sense of lived life.
Experienced in renovating older homes, Odom, architect Brands and stamps duo, they creatively designed their original carriage from 1904, not increasing the footprint, but doubling the living space. It still retains the look of its cottage, but now offers an extra room to house their many books and collections,
as well as a variety of spaces for reading, relaxing and having fun effortlessly.
Likewise, Kate has created interiors with charm, sensitivity and an educated respect for history and a sense of place. In several layers, her rooms exude character, comfort and soul.

With a passion for antiques and textiles and an impressive knowledge of decorative arts and architecture, Kate and Odom continue to strive for authenticity, quality and attention to detail in their work.
Their new book, Brands and brands, style and sensitivity shares both his own home and a selection of projects. Although the homes presented may differ in style, from bohemian, down,
to the formal Georgian, they share a layered eclecticism that resonates personally for each client. Odom enhanced the charm by adding dormitories in the lower bedroom, which Kate filled with an attractive array of textiles, antiques and artwork.
For a house in Los Angeles, Odom designed a new loggia with bold pillars and railings, downstairs, with a floor restored from a ruined French castle and Kate fitted with a mix of new and antique furniture and accessories. For all lovers of timeless style and quiet, sophisticated luxury, the book is a wonderful addition to your design library. You can order signed copies via Brand and brand websites.
