Federal Opposition Treasury Spokesperson, Jim Chalmerssaid the government minister Stuart Robert “Completely torpedoed the destructive and dishonest claims made by the Prime Minister and the Treasurer about the rigidity of the national plan.”
As we reported earlier, Robert has left the door open to change the national reopening plan due to growing concerns about the health system’s ability to cope with the increasing number of Covid-19 cases. Robert told ABC’s Insider program, “God, everything could change next week.”

Chalmers he told reporters today:
Today’s minister, in his chaotic, interview wreck, really angered the cat at what Scott Morrison works here. Scott Morrison wants to pretend we can open up at any cost.
Chalmers said the prime minister should stop “playing politics with the national plan” and instead “work constructively with states and the Australian community beyond, so we can open up safely, confidently and responsibly when the time comes.”
This Morrison government is a fire of inconsistency, incoherence and incompetence … This prime minister has created a climate of conflict to divert attention from his own failures in vaccines and quarantine, which are locking up our communities and destroying our economy.

Going back to Queensland sad… Annastacia Palaszczuk Asked by the Federal Minister of Employment about the comments, Stuart Robert, that the national opening plan may need to change.
The Prime Minister of Queensland said:
Look, well, he is not in the national government, well, and I think this is a very clear message the national cabinet wants to correct that and the Doherty Institute is doing more and when we get that extra work, we’ll come in and discuss it well.
Palaszczuk-who was in the spotlight last week because of her comments about children who are sensitive to Covid-19-said the national cabinet “had a very good debate on Friday”.
Everyone wants to preserve families … There is more data and modeling to come from the Doherty Institute, and what we hear about the 80% plus vaccination rate across the country has been very encouraging. So we will continue with these discussions.
Palaszczuk turned to send a message to Queenslanders to continue providing vaccination weapons:
This is like an emergency. This is to avoid overwhelming our hospitals with patients and people who become ill. We have this window of opportunity, this is an emergency, to go for vaccinations. So I want to see an increase in the vaccination rate as we get additional supplies from the federal government and, Bravo, they managed to get extra supplies, but this is a window of opportunity, September, October, to get vaccinated. I can’t stress this enough on families in Queensland.
The Queensland prime minister said she would like to see “a lot more than 80%” of people get vaccinated because the higher the rate the higher the chances of reducing the risk.
Asked about Scott MorrisonIn an effort to open up by Christmas, she said everyone “wants to have hope”.
But the way to do it is to get vaccinated – that’s the key.
