It was an extraordinary year in the Australian retaliation in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Although this has been an absolutely horrible year, a year of uncertainty, hardship, terrible losses here in Australia, but honestly all over the world and in so many parts of the world that the loss continues, accelerates, destroys.
But while all of this is true in Australia, we have seen one of the most significant Australian performances in our Australian economy we have seen. In less than 12 months since the onset of the recession caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, there are now more jobs in the Australian economy than there were before the pandemic.
It’s something truly extraordinary and a big credit to every Australian who stayed there, every Australian company that kept people in jobs, everyone who had a role in making sure we did everything we could to see Australia continue to go through this the Covid-19 pandemic and the recession in the best possible way.
