Sutton continues to instill confidence in his recovery process. He initially suffered ACL and MCL tears on his left knee on Sept. 20 before undergoing surgery in October. As long as the 25-year-old is able to continue to avoid any failures, he should be relieved to exercise while training time is moving, and it is possible that he may have limited work during the off-season program. Sutton will join the most numerous corps in his career as he enters the fourth and final season of his rookie contract, with Jerry Jeudy,, Noah boy,, Tim Patrick (ankle) and KJ Hamler (concussion) everyone is fighting for targets. If the Broncos complete the upgrade with Drew Lock, as it was rumored that the team wanted, Sutton would also have to adjust to the new quarterback in 2021.

A look from the past at fantasy
Taken with his 40th pick in the 2018 draft, Sutton got an extended chance with the Broncos after Demaryius Thomas traded in the middle season. The results were passable under the circumstances – Sutton managed 8.4 YPT, 16 catches of 20 plus and three catches of 40 yards on 84 targets with Case Keenum in the neighborhood. With 6-3, 218, Sutton is a significant receiver with a large catch radius, making him a good candidate for the red zone look, even though he only had eight last year. It’s not particularly fast – 4.54 40 speeds is roughly average for a receiver of its size – and it dropped nine passes last year (10.7 percent of its targets). Sutton should play a significant role this season, although last year’s main goal Emmanuel Sanders seems to have returned after an Achilles injury, and the team put together Noah Fant in the first round. More importantly, the addition of the Broncos – especially with newly signed Joe Flacco at the center – projects that will be among the worst in the league.
Taken with his 40th draft pick, Sutton has a promising future, but enters the year as the Broncos ’No. 3 best goal behind steady Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. At 6-3, 218, and with a big catch radius, Sutton is profiling itself as a good red zone target – he has scored 22 TDs in the last two seasons in college – but his 4.54 and 40 speed is average even for a big receiver. CEO John Elway believes Sutton could eventually become the team champion, but if they don’t hurt Thomas and Sanders, the rookie will likely have to wait at least another year.
