Mr Klaus BSL Batista, MD, is an orthodontist in Rio de Janeiro, a senior lecturer in the Department of Preventive and Public Dentistry at the State University of Rio de Janeiro and a visiting lecturer at the University of Manchester in the UK. Batista is engaged in research on orthodontics in the field of class II malluxia, TMZ (temporomandibular joint) disorders and quality of life. He published systematic reviews, including a Review of the Cochrane Library, on the links between orthodontic treatments, oral health and quality of life.
