The Cup of Jo community has strong opinions about trends (you liked it these, hated these), so I’m curious to hear what you think about the shape of the pants that appears – high waist, pleated khaki!! I love them a little, but feel free to praise or destroy them in the comments below.
What did you eat these days? My new breakfast: a toasted, buttery potato bun with two scrambled eggs on it. It’s simple and delicious, and you can always add faded spinach or a slice of sharp cheddar.
I’ve come across some great books lately – Edie Richter is not alone,, You will never believe what happened to Lacey – and I’m breaking up right now Memory police. The novel was named the best book of the year in billions of publications, and the story is about a young writer who lives on an island where things are systematically disappearing. First hats, then perfume, then birds. When she realizes her editor is in danger, she tries to hide it … and I won’t give any spoiler! It also catches me uncertainly and keeps me awake too late at night.
The other day a friend sent me a message with a TV recommendation: Standups, first episode guest comedian Nate Bargatze. “Thirty minutes,” she wrote. “TRUST ME.” So that night Alex and I watched on Netflix and it was hilarious. If you’re in the mood to laugh for half an hour straight, go watch! xo
PS More fun stuff, i your favorite podcasts.
