Grab announced the launch of GrabSupermarket in Singapore today (May 29), as part of the strategic expansion of GrabMart, Grab’s daily on-demand delivery service.
Grab will team up with HAO, one of Singapore’s fastest-growing supermarket chains.
For starters, GrabSupermarket will host over 5,000 unique products from HAO March that include the categories of meat and poultry, vegetables, frozen foods, dry goods and instant foods, dairy products, spices, snacks, beverages and non-food products.
This will expand to more than 10,000 unique products over the next few weeks. With GrabSupermarket, consumers can choose from a wider range of products and pay a single delivery fee.
The goal of this partnership is to introduce the fast-growing market of consumers who enjoy the speed and convenience of buying groceries online.
“Over time, we strive to further expand the selection available in GrabSupermarket and offer all important items, as well as top and exclusive products from our trading partners GrabMart. We are thrilled to be teaming up with HAO on this exciting journey to provide even more comfort and choice to Grab consumers, ”said Xinwei Ngiam, General Manager of Grab Singapore.
In addition, Grab will bring products from the highly sought-after GrabMart stores to GrabSupermarket to offer consumers more variety, and will also provide current GrabMart retailers with more channels to reach consumers.
