Entry to the events will be allowed to persons who have been vaccinated, or have recovered from Covid-19 and have been cured or have negative test results.
Restrictions on mass events are returning. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Economy and Industry Minister Orna Barbivai and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz announced the “happy label” scheme.
The plan will soon be presented by phone in front of a special cabinet for coronavirus, and should take effect on Wednesday, July 21.
According to the plan, which was formulated in agreement with the banquet hall owners, entry to events where there is a high probability of infection will be allowed to people who have been vaccinated or have had Covid-19 and recovered or who have negative test results.
Unlike previous restrictions, the number of participants in the event will not be limited. Wearing face masks will be mandatory, except during permitted activities (such as eating and drinking), and enforcement will be intensified.
An event that carries a high risk of infection is defined as an indoor event with over 100 participants, over a period of time, which includes food and drink and mixing of participants (dance, for example).
