How can the measurable Jamison Crowder compare to other wide receivers?

This section compares his metric exercises with players in the same position. The bar represents the percentile rank of the player. For example, if the bar is halfway, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that metric and will be considered the average.

Crowder is mainly a prototype NFL slot receiver – small, fast, movable and difficult to cover in small spaces. With 5-9, 177 and a speed of 4.56, Crowder rarely lines up from the outside and almost never runs downhill — his average target depth of 7.8 meters was 26th on the list of 30 league receivers of 100 targets. Crowder saw his considerable share in the red zones – 16 out of 20, six out of 10 and four out of five, explaining his six touchdowns. But its size and without the benefit of big shows, that sum is not far from its ceiling. On the other hand, Crowder led the Jets with 122 goals last year, Robby Anderson is no more, and only Breshad Perriman and second-round rookie Denzel Mims are in competition to throw Sam Darnold, giving Crowder a nice floor in the PPR leagues.

After four years in Washington, Crowder cashed in a three-year, $ 28.5 million contract in New York, including $ 17 million guaranteed. This ensures that he will play a key role as the main man of the team, replacing the bigger, faster Quincy Enunwu, who will now move outwards. At 5-9, 177, Crowder is a typical slot receiver – small, movable and incredibly fast. He was relatively effective in the role, averaging approximately 8.0 YPT in the last four years. Crowder seems to play faster than his 4.56 timed speeds, but rarely runs down the road or plays in the red zone. Jet coach Adam Gase said he expects Crowder to catch 70-90 passes, which would be high in his career, but that’s not too much given his contract and skill set. Quarterback Sam Darnold should be better in Year 2, but Enunwa, Robby Anderson, new tail Le’Veon Bell and second-year consecutive Chris Herndon will also see a lot of work in the passing game.

Crowder has been the primary slot receiver for the Redskins since his inaugural season, mostly catching short passes and only rarely making big games – five catches of 40 yards or more on 280 goals in his career. With 5-9, 177, Crowder is faster than fast (4.56 40), making it difficult to cover in short areas but less of a threat on the field or in the red zone. The Reds have parted ways with Terrella Pryor and Ryan Grant this season, but Paul Richardson is joining the break, so it’s possible Jordan Reed will play more than six games this season and Chris Thompson will catch the ball more than 10. Even so, Crowder is the de facto number 1 team unless three-year-old Josh Doctson can make a big leap. The Crowder will have to adjust to the new defender in Alex Smith, and while this is likely a reduction in the score for the offense as a whole, it should affect Crowder’s short game at least on anyone on the team.

A quality receiver and returnee last year, Crowder leaves in 2017 as the only experienced director among receivers in Washington. However, the Reds brought in athletic freak Terrella Pryor and brought back last year’s Premier League side Josh Doctson for an Achilles injury. Moreover, TE Jordan Reed was the goal of the team, especially in the red zone, whenever he is healthy. Even in that case, a 5-8, 182-pound Crowder will be left to work on short and medium field areas, using his exceptional speed and running to open up. Crowder – 4.56 40 – is not fast, but he has excellent eyesight and is dangerous in space. Although Crowder saw 17 red zone looks last year, expect them to decline with a massive Pryor and 6-2 Doctson now in the break. However, there is a decent chance that Crowder will bring his stats along with the return TD.

The fourth round of 2015 had a productive beginner’s season, catching 59 passes for 604 yards and two touchdowns. Aside from five catches for 109 yards and a touchdown in week 17 against the Cowboys, Crowder’s game was somewhat stronger in the first half of the season when DeSean Jackson got injured and was thrown into a second receiver role. As Crowder enters 2016 in search of an upgrade to its promising first campaign, they will have to compete for a look with starters Pierre Garcon and Jackson, along with first round selection 2016 Josh Doctson.

The fourth round of the 2015 Duke came out on track to replace Andrea Roberts as Washington’s best kickbacker, and he could complete the kickback tasks as well. Where Crowder could create a fantasy utility as a rookie is if he manages to replace Roberts as the best team on the team. GM Scot McCloughan has suggested that Crowder could be up to the task, thanks to his “excellent” ability to run at 5 feet and 885 pounds. Given that, Roberts ’professional experience probably allows him to maintain an initial advantage in the award, with DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon rooted as a top team outside the wide-open windows.
