The head of the Trinamool Congress, Mamata Banerjee, on Sunday won the elections for the Assembly of West Bengal from the Nandigram constituency with 1,200 votes. Banerjee defeated her former commissioner Suvendu Adhikari for Nandigram. Adhikari left TMC before the 2020 elections and joined the BJP.
Adhikari had an advantage over the current chief minister in the early hours of Sunday morning, and Banerjee was slowly approaching the distance. After a contest between the door and the door between Mama and her former minister, the Chief Minister of West Bengal managed to take the lead with 1,200 votes. At 4:25 p.m., the ANI news agency confirmed that Banerjee had defeated her former aide by a margin of 1,200 votes.
Adhikari previously served under Mama Banerjee as Minister of Transport, Irrigation and Water Resources in West Bengal from 2016 to 2020. He resigned as a member of the primary membership of the All India Trinamool Congress on December 19, 2020. Adhikari submitted his nomination papers for the elections to the Legislative Assembly of West Bengal on March 13, 2021. After joining the BJP, Adhikari promised to defeat Banerjee in the Western elections. Bengal in 2021 by at least 50,000 votes. In response, the chief minister called Adhikari a “traitor”.
The battle for the position of Nandigram was one of the most closely watched during this election season, because the current chief minister against the former minister in the government from her administration went to the place that belonged to the latter in 2016.
As for the rest of the state, TMC has a huge advantage over BJP. According to India Today, TMC is leading with 215 seats, while BJP has 75 seats. Other politicians in the country opened Twitter to congratulate Mamati Banerjee and TMC for their performance in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections:

Every part @MamataOfficial Mamata Banerjee on her spectacular victory over the forces of communism and intolerance. Voters of Bengal (& esp Nandigram) have shown where their heart is. BJP welcomed the match in Bengal and lost.

Q. Sincere congratulations to the conscious public, the militant Ms. Mamati Banerjee ji and the dedicated leaders and activists of TMC for the defeat against the BJP hate policy in Bengal!
This is an appropriate public response to the derogatory sarcasm of “Didi O Didi” by a woman from the BJP.
