Manny Pacquiao still wants revenge on longtime rival Floyd Mayweather, says his coach Freddie Roach.

Pacquiao will fight Yordenis Ugas for the WBA ‘super’ light heavyweight title on Sunday morning at 2am, live Sky Sports.

At 42, the legendary Filipino remains at the top of boxing and is not losing hope of attracting Mayweather, who is retired, at 44 years old.

“We would like to fight Mayweather once again,” said Pacquiao Roach Hall of Fame coach Sky Sports.

“But exhibitions? No. Manny doesn’t deal with it.

“Manny has boxing fans. That’s what we’re looking for.”

In 2015, Mayweather defeated Pacquia in the richest fight of all time in 2015, and since retiring, he has returned to the shows – the last time against Logan Paul.

But eight-division champion Pacquiao is still at the pinnacle of the sport and should have challenged undefeated Errol Spence Jr. before his withdrawal and the entry of Ugas.

Pacquiao vs Josh Taylor?

Josh Taylor is the undisputed champion in the super-lightweight category and among the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters.

“That fight can happen, for sure,” Roach said.

The Scot will be defending his belts against Jack Catterall this year and has dreamed of facing his idol Pacquiao.

Taylor, whose dog is named “Pacman” in honor, said it earlier Sky Sports: “Shall I share the ring with my hero Pacquia? That would be great.

“How many people can say he shared a ring with his hero and beat them up? Not much.

“He’s funny, he sings, he puts a Scottish accent. He’s a champion of the people, a really nice person, he gives money to feed people.

“He’s an absolute gentleman and his fighting style is fierce – a paw of fast hands that can fight hell.”

Roach said, “Let’s just go for one fight.

“What about Manny? He’s not just going to pick someone with a high rating because the world loves him.

“Manny wants to fight real fighters. He’ll challenge the best.”

Watch Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugas in Las Vegas, Sunday morning from 2 a.m., live on Sky Sports.
