A top delivery offer is available at 14 restaurants participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program, including The Brasserie in St. Louis. Regis KL, The Living Room in Westin KL, Flock and Yen in W KL, and more.
Buyers can expect international prices like Tagliatelle lobster and Black Angus beef noodles, cured bento garnishes, and even local delights and classics.
This marks the first comprehensive integration of Marriott International with the Grab platform and the most comprehensive contract to date with the hospitality group.
Without active tourism and even a lack of local guests, companies in the sector had to devise self-sustaining strategies, and hotels were not exempt.
However, that integration is not as extensive as Marriott Bonvoy’s current integration with GrabFood. In addition, one advantage that users can enjoy in this collaboration is the fact that when ordering from Marriott’s restaurant they can earn Grab points and prizes.
Fine food at home
Carrying and delivering fine cuisine to Malaysians is no longer a foreign concept, given the pandemic and subsequent locks that limit travel and lunches.
We spoke to several fine dining restaurants in 2020 to learn more about it challenges which came with a pivot, as the experience and ambiance form a significant part of the superior experience.
Some had to prepare completely new menus, procure more local ingredients and find the ideal packaging for deliveries to ensure that food quality was not compromised.
Marriott Bonvoy’s collaboration with GrabFood could be seen as a sign that the brand is more confident and willing to embrace a shift in dining culture. It already started shipping and deliveries a year ago, but so far we haven’t seen such a big move.
