I love trying new recipes to mix things up, but there’s something in the comfort of old standby – when all else fails, they’re there for you! Here are 10 items I always grab from dealer Joe …
Lemon Curd. This curd is smooth, tart and perfect with breakfast toast. It is also deliciously mixed with yogurt and granola.
Sir Tuscany. Sometimes I like to create myself a little happy hour, with cheese, crackers and maybe a glass of white wine. This cheese is an ideal blend of sharp and creamy, and is aged in red wine (see the purple hill on top?).
Cups of peanut butter from dark chocolate. Listen carefully: if you don’t get anything else, take this. They are always at hand in the check-out lines, and the small bag is only 99 cents. The bitterness of the dark chocolate perfectly compensates for the sweetness of the peanut butter.
Organic extra virgin olive oil Mediterranean blend. I used to believe that all olive oil is the same. I was wrong! The nutty, pungent taste sets it apart from the EVOO bottle collection in your cupboard, whether you serve it on top of hummus or top it with your favorite pasta.
Sharp cheddar cheese crackers. Judging by the small animals on the box, I’m pretty sure they’re meant for kids, but I like to play with snacks quickly and easily. These sharp cheddar cheese bombs are the perfect afternoon treat.
Pira with flatbread of burrata, prosciutto and arugula. For lunch while working from home, this pizza achieves the right place – with lots of burrata (omg YUM). I love dripping Mediterranean olive oil on top, as a finishing touch.
Gluten-free mini cookies. These mini cupcakes are great to take to a party (when it’s definitely fun again) or to prepare them for a sweet treat around the house. Bonus: you seriously can’t say they don’t contain gluten.
Thai Veggie Gyoza. It’s often hard for me to have dinner, so I keep one or two bags on hand. They are delicious crispy in a pan and dipped in soy sauce.
Grapefruit and lemon hand sanitizer spray. My favorite thing about this disinfectant is that it moisturizes while cleaning so my hands don’t crack and dry out.
Fresh flowers. There is nothing that refreshes a room like a vase of flowers. I recently ran to the store to get some milk and was surprised by all the new spring flowers. I got all this up for less than $ 20.
What are some of your trader Joe’s favorite matches? Something I should add to the list?
