My twin sister Lucy just launched a podcast …
…Gravity – about what becomes possible when we think of other difficulties differently. She fights loneliness, sadness, illness, various family structures and much more; her guests talk about how they reshape their difficulties to find meaning or happiness.
For her second episode, actually interviewed me. In our bedrooms in California and New York, we crawled under the covers so our voices wouldn’t resonate. We then talked about personal mantras, how much I love Cup of Joe readers, and the deep depression I went through in the fall of 2019 (I mentioned it briefly here.)
This morning I listened to an episode in a rain walk – I laughed at the soothing and authoritative voice of Lucy, and then I come all fickle and chatty (sample quote: “I felt like I was going to vomit!”) Nonetheless, I was so grateful that I talked about mental health and I was really honored to be on her beautiful show. I send the biggest hug to everyone who needs it right now.
Here is our episode, if you want to listen. Thank you so much for getting me, Lucy. xo
PS My experience with postpartum depression, i Lucy’s apartment replacement.
