Hundred is a new cricket format that started in England this summer

Organizers of The Hundred say they do not “accept racism or other forms of abuse” after “recent comments directed at players and fans.”

Which is a new cricket competition that started on Wednesday.

A statement from organizers about the abuse of social networks in recent days says: “Unfortunately, we are witnessing these unacceptable online behaviors.

“Together with the rest of cricket, we stand against all forms of discrimination.”

It adds: “You can agree with us on many things, but not on that. Those who do are not welcome here.”

Abuse refers to social media, not on the basis of matches.

Versatile West India player Carlos Brathwaite, who plays for Manchester Originals at The Hundred, posted on social media criticizing “these racist keyboard warriors”.

Bowler who won the World Cup in England Liam Plunkett plays for Welsh Fire and has also posted criticism online “if you have a bad day in the office” after receiving 42 15-rebounds in Saturday’s win over the Northern Superchargers.

Plunkett said it’s “crazy” that people “feel they have a right” to abuse players in such circumstances.

The Hundred is managed by the England and Wales Cricket Governing Council and offers eight new franchises, each with a men’s and women’s team.

Abuse is among the many recent incidents involving athletes, including Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton be racially abused on social media after his victory at the domestic British Grand Prix.

English footballers Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were also exposed to racist abuse on social media after they all missed a penalty in the final defeat of the three lions at Euro 2020 against Italy.

A mural in honor of Manchester United striker Rashford was also demolished, although it was repaired the next day and later covered hundreds of support messages.
