Singapore-based driving company Ryde announced today (April 21st) that it will launch a new premium driving service. Named RydeLUXE, it is still in the beta of the trial phase, but will be officially launched on April 29th.
With RydeLUXE,, users will match the professional drivers with the highest scores in the Ryde app. Currently accepted car models are Toyota’s Alphard and Vellfire six-seater models.

According to the company, this latest addition satisfies business people, tourists and premium customers on special occasions.
Ryde also said he expects “most of the demand will come from downtown,” adding that corporate demand is projected to come from multinational companies, small businesses, hotels and restaurants.
Through a partnership with Ryde, business owners, restaurants and hotels can provide this service to their guests looking for a premium ride.
Estimated prices for the off-season are $ 25 from Tanglin to Bugis and $ 50 from Bugis to Changi Business Park. Reservations are accepted on request and in advance.
Ryde is well aware that the luxury market has been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has hit driver earnings.
In response, Ryde said it will charge drivers 10 percent service fees to secure their jobs, and will also allow them to take more home for each completed ride.
“The launch of RydeLUXE reflects our belief and commitment to introducing innovative features to the car driving market. It is also a significant milestone for us as we enter the luxury products market and satisfy a variety of clients, ”said Terence Zou, founder and CEO of Ryde Technologies.
To date, Ryde’s app has been downloaded close to 700,000 times. Ryde sees the continued growth in the number of drivers and passengers as more users look for alternatives to existing operators.
Interested users can sign up and enjoy premium rides by downloading the Ryde app from the Apple App Store and Google PlayStore.
