Sovereign rating lowers those who ignore climate change

If emissions continue at current levels, by 2030, 63 countries will downgrade by more than one degree, according to the group, which includes Moritz Kraemer, a former chief sovereign rating officer at S&P Global Ratings. The American rating would fall by two degrees, and even three levels for Germany, India and the Netherlands. Even meeting the Paris Agreement obligations will mean an average reduction of 0.65.
