Singapore-based pop culture collector XM Studios has raised $ 4.5 million in a token offering on the ADDX investment platform.

Anchored by Temasek’s Heliconia Capital, the deal is the first equity-linked investment offered on ADDX.

The offer was 1.75 times subscribed to the company’s initial fundraising goal. The size of the deal increased by $ 1.5 million to $ 4.5 million.

The minimum investment size for the XM Studios contract was $ 10,000, compared to the minimum size of $ 1 million typical of such investments, ADDX and XM Studios said in a joint statement.

Heliconia concluded the agreement with an investment of 1 million USD, and globally accredited investors also participated in the round.

The token offer on ADDX is in the form of convertible notes that can be redeemed for shares in XM Studios, with a significant discount. The bonds mature at an interest rate of six percent per annum if not redeemed within 18 months.

Funds to take advantage of new opportunities, XM Studios is seeking an IPO

“The new capital allows XM Studios to take advantage of opportunities in the next phase of our expansion – in new markets and in new segments such as premium mass collecting, allowing fans to buy their favorite collectibles at a more affordable price,” said the co-founder and CEO of XM Studios. Ben Ang.

Prior to the last fundraiser, Heliconia raised a 9.2 percent stake in XM Studios through a secondary share transaction, according to regulatory submissions.
