Italian Lamont Marcell Jacobs won the shock gold in the 100-meter Olympic final after Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain was disqualified for a false start.
Jacobs, who only gave up the long jump in 2018, clearly won in 9.80 seconds, 0.04 behind American Fred Kerley.
Canadian Andre de Grasse won his second consecutive Olympic bronze in third place.
World champion Christian Coleman and Trayvon Bromell, the fastest in the world in 2021, missed out on the finals.
More to come.
